Design Engineer

Albin Engineering Services, Inc. (www.aesi.com) is looking for a Sr Power Electronics Engineer Consultant for a long-term contract for one of our premier clients in the Fremont, CA area to start in mid-late June. This person will be working on 2 EV prototype charging products and will work on design verification testing of their high voltage DC-DC converters. This position will be working onsite. Responsibilities:

• Write and conduct validation tests
• Providing hands-on validation assistance before the products are considered ready for go-to-market phase
• Give expertise if tests fail

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience in analog high power, power electronics design and engineering 
• Understanding of magnetic component design including transformers and inductors 
• Expertise in DC-DC converter topologies 
• Experience with power MOSFETS and simulation tools such as SPICE
• Experience designing and testing KW level power conversion products such as battery chargers
• Prior experience working on EV products preferred
• Strong communication skills
